    wireless network connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration


    wireless network connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration

    Is what i get when i run the internet trouble shooter. I try to find a wireless network on my laptop and i connect to one but it sometimes it says (when i go to network sharing place) that it is an unidentified network. i try connecting to others but i don't know the security key.

    First, connecting to someone else's wifi is both illegal and makes you vulnerable to malware.

    If it is secured and yours you should know the logon, if you dont it not yours to use.

    Please run the following and upload snapshots of the output

    start>cmd>right click and run as admin>ipconfig /all

    If it is yours and you don't know the log on because you changed it a while back and don't remember it. You have to hold the reset button in the back of the device for 10 seconds till all the lights blink off and it looks like it is rebooting. That is just putting the router into default mode as you first bought it.
