How to allow users to install all kind of updates?

In my compagny we still use a NT 4.0 server (yeah...i know) and i'd like to enable "basic users" to install all kind of updates (Adobe CS5, Windows Updates, Java, Flash, etc...). Problem is we don't have an Active Directory so i can't do it with a GPO.

Is there a way to do it even it i have to configure it on every PC?

Welcome to SF,

For Windows auto update, you may enable Auto Windows Update in Control Panel. Here's how to do it in Windows 7.

For the rest of the Applications, almost all of them may notify the User if there's new Update.

If you only have AD configured on a Windows 2003 or above Server it will be a lot more convenient for you and the Users.
