I need to buy a pci wireless adapter for my desktop pc because the wireless router and cable modem is now in another room.

The computer is a HP p6214y quad core with 8gb of ram running windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.

My modem is a motorola surfboard extreme.

My wireless router is a single band 2.4GHz Linksys wrt160n.

Im not sure what is better pci-express or just pci but i have both types available for use.

So i need a good wireless-n pci adapter card thing that will be compatible with windows 7 64 bit and my wrt160n. Any recommendations?

I just returned a ae1000 usb adapter and it worked horribly absolute garbage, did not really ever work. So i would prefer to use the pci stuff.

PCI express x1 is waay faster than PCI. the higher X you go the faster the PCI-E is.
