Do you have more than one PC on your network? If yes, does the other PC connect to the internet OK? I probably should have asked this question long ago.
The ipconfig you posted above, is that connection to your router? If yes can you log in to its status page? http://192.168.1.1/

OK, lets see if i have managed to keep this all straight?
Your other PC on the same network works OK. That means your router and modem are working OK. The problem PC is getting an IP address from your router but you can't log into the router or get Internet access. How are you connecting to your routers status page? Are you entering http://192.168.1.1/ into the address bar in IE? What happens when you do that, do you get a page cannot be displayed? What does ipconfig/all look like on the working PC? The IP address should be different but the Default gateway, DHCP server and DNS should all be the same on both PCs.

Not a problem, the way things were going I was thinking you might end up doing that. On the good side its working again and it was a software problem, so you didn't have to go out and buy anything. The downside to forum trouble shooting is sometimes what should only take a couple of hours can take days. Different time zones, other priorities etc. Anyway, I'm glad you got it working again.
