Windows 7 - Win7, XP networking - sharing printer and folders

Win7, XP networking - sharing printer and folders

I currently have 3 PC's in the house

desktop - Windows 7 x64 on a Workgroup (Home)
laptop 1 - XP Pro on a Domain (Aus) connected to router via Ethernet
laptop2 - XP Pro on a Domain (Eur) connected to router via wifi

I have managed to share a USB printer connected to the Windows 7 box with laptop 1 and can also access shared folders on the Windows 7 box from this laptop but I cannot do the same on laptop 2.

Also I cannot seem to work out appropriate security for the shared folders on the Windows 7 box. When I connected to them from laptop1 there appeared to be NO security at all. I am worried that ANYONE connected to my network can see these folders

Any ideas or advice appreciated

TIA
