network adapter disappeared

Issue in points

1- 3 days ago my network adapter just disappeared with no good reason
2- Installed a new OS "32" and issue remains the same
3- Installed a new NIC with no changes
4- tried to reset the network adapters through CMD and no hope :@

any clue cause my last taken action should be "breaking my PC into pieces"

Thanks in advance and your help is really appreciated.

I would examine your power settings. My first guess would be that it's going away when you either plug your machine into power, or unplug it from power as a power saving feature.

Okay. Well, try the following, if you'd please.

> Start
> Right click on Computer
> Manage
> Device manager

At this point, you want to check two sections: Unknown Devices and Network Adapters. See if there are any unknown devices, or if it shows up under network adapters.

@ WebMattR

Sorry for ben' late

Bios "GA 945PL-S3P" has been updated to the latest release and still no network adapter yet "on-board and slotted"

It seems no way out but to get a usb adapter but I hate to let it go without knowing the reason which caused this strange issue !!

I can tell the on-board NIC died or something, but to have the same issue with the slotted one !!! that's what makes me crazy :@ I've tried 3 different slots and none of 'EM was recognized/detected

Diagnostic, is the only thing left to try !!

Perhaps I'm a bit lost, but did you try what I said, and if so, did you see it?
