    wifi card not working

i have an Acer Aspire One AOA150 running Windows 7 Ultmate X86 and when i turn on or wake from hibernate the wifi thing in the bottom left of the screen has an X saying it hasnt found any wifi connections and isnt working.

every time i have to go into the change adapter settings disable it and re-enable it so it can actually find any sort of wifi

i have an Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter

how can i fix it so that i dont need to disable and enable it each time

(btw i havent got system restore active as i dont have much space left on hdd)

Disable the problematic Atheros power saving mode from Device Manager, locate the Network Adapter=> Properties=> Atheros=> Power Management Tab, in here you may disable any Power Save mode options by unchecking them off.

Let's try something else, uninstall your Atheros adapter from Device Manager, then install the new driver that you may download from the manufacturer's site.

Nothing to worry about it, it's a Virtual Wi-Fi for WLAN drivers supporting the Windows 7 logo.

How's your connection after? Did you update the driver to the current one?

could be driver issue. Does it only happen after you come out of sleep or hibernate? For the first year I had 7 I couldn't put my system into sleep because of a poor graphics driver, if I were to come out of sleep I would get a BSOD. This was only fixed by a recent driver that came out, maybe there isn't a proper driver for your card yet? either that or you don't have the most up to date drivers
