Problem with Remote Desktop
Until recently, 1 week ago or so, I have been able to use remote desktop to access my computer from work or friends homes. I am using a no-ip redirector, and have had no issues for a long time.
It may be a conincidence, but after I applied service pack 1 to my windows 7 home premium 64 bit computer, the remote desktop stopped working. I am able to ping my computer, my ftp client still works without issue, and I have tried a few things to determine the problem.
I have tried disabling my AVG2011 completely (surf scan/link scanner is always disabled), disabling my windows firewall completely, disabling the firewall on my wireless router, restarting my high speed modem and wireless router, as well as trying to connect from different locations that I normally can connect.
Nothing seems to work. When I try to connect using RDP, I see messages about configuring the session, securing the session, and then configuring the session and it leaves me right back at the same point you are when you open RDP.
Any help would be appreciated. I do not want to have to re-image my laptop, considering I can still use teamviewer to connect. I just prefer RDP.
Thanks.
