    Slow internet issue

Where to start... First of all I'm sorry to start a new thread about a similar issue beeing discuss at the moment but I did not want to troll the thread.

2 days ago I started having computer shutdowns that I solved by cleaning my heatsink(it was full of dust and cpu was overheating...no shutdowns since then). After that I started gradually to experience slow internet issues browsing the web. My downloads are still fast which is pretty weird. I did some speedtest and the results were: Ping 1956ms, Dl 229mb(yea... ) and Upl 2mb.

I tried updating the Lan drivers on my motherboard but the installer fails everytime saying that my OS is not compatible with my motherboard(Ive been using win7 64bit since more than a year with that motherboard).

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Motherboard : Asus Rampage Forumla x48 LGA775
    OS : Win7 Ultimate 64bit
Internet : Cable(directly through the modem and tried couple of wires) / My ISP told me the signal was perfect

I'm thinking it might be a virus or something but I have an antivirus + firewall.

    What's wrong

Run the cmd window as an administrator. Then from the cmd window type the following one at a time hitting Enter after each one.

    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    exit

Then reboot and see what happens.
