'Connecting to...' lasts for a long time
Hi, when I try to connect to any webpage, the 'connecting to...' in the bottom left lasts for at least 2 minutes, after that everything loads quickly. Evern connecting to my router website on 192.168.1.1 is extremely slow.
I have another partition on my computer (linux) that works fine.. no problems with connecting slow.
I've narrowed it down to a setting within Windows that must be jacked. What I've tried so far is
-Tried both with and without the router. Shouldn't be the router because under linux it connects fine.
-upgrade LAN card drivers, and roll them back, tried everything, problems still happens
-use my wifi adapter instead of lan card, upgrade the drivers, roll them back, tried everything, problem still happens
-check for virus and malware, etc etc.
-ETA: Problem happens with every browser I've tried. IE, Firefox, Chrome
I'm using Windows 7 Professional x64 set to Workgroup. And my router is Linksys WRT54Gxv2, set as DHCP server enabled
Is there any way to reset all of the networking setting back to default? I think this is what I might have to do. I'm on the verge of reinstalling windows WRT54GX-v2WRT54GWRT54GX-v2X-v2
