Networking W7 and XP
I have two computers on a home network
Solaris: Windows 7, build 7100, formatted with a system partition (C), and a data partition (D). Printer connected to this machine
Mercury: Win XP SP3, formatted with 1 system partition (C) and an external data drive (D).
Both D drives on Mercury and Solaris are shared.
I have a networkig issue. From Mercury (XP) I can see Solaris shares just fine, printing works no problem. All is good.
However, from the Windows 7 machine, Solaris, I can see Mercury in the network but cannot connect to it or it's D drive. When I try I am told that I do not have enough permissions.
I have enabled file and printer sharing on both machines and tried turing off all firewalls but it's driving me mad now that I can't connect to Mercury from Solaris.
Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!
