Windows 7: Can't disable Remote Desktop Services

I made the choice to reinstall Windows 7 after finding my pc picked up Trojan Dropper/Gen-C according to Superantispyware. After installation I disabled unneeded/unwanted services, one of which is Remote Desktop Services. I did this on the original installation with no glitches. With the reinstall, this particular service 'resets' itself to the default(Automatic/Started)after every reboot even though I disable it. I have to re-disable it every time. According to Task Manager, any remote services listed are still Stopped when this happens so I can't figure this out - any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Are you trying to disable it in msconfig or in services.msc?

I'm trying to disable it using Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Isn't this the same as services.msc? Anyway, after reading your reply I tried disabling it using Run>services.msc and also trying 'unchecking' Remote Access Connection Manager(which is already disabled) using Run>msconfig. No luck. As I mentioned, I'm using the same disabled selections as my original install and had no problems then.

I've figured it out, at least, stopped it from continuing. When I reinstalled Windows 7, I installed Norton Internet Security from my motherboard's driver-utility CD. I did not do that on my original install. I went through Norton's settings and couldn't find anything that would be causing Remote Desktop Services to restart. I uninstalled Norton and installed separate firewall and antivirus. Problem is no longer occurring. So I guess somewhere in the settings of Norton was the culprit.
