    Sharing files between a Windows XP PC and a Windows 7 PC over a home n


    My main download machine runs WinXP Pro SP3. How do I download files from this machine to my newer Win7 HP machine? Thanks.

    Assuming both machines are networked, on the XP machine, make sure that file sharing is turned on and that you are sharing the necessary folders. Also, the workgroup name on each machine should be the same.

    Couldn't get it to work. Ended up getting a 3rd party program called HomeNet Manager which seemed to work OK.
