Deleting phantom items from network places in windows 7

Hello,
I am seeing old entries of phantom folders in My Network Places in Windows 7. In XP you could just delete them, but there is no selection for this in Windows 7. Does anyone know how to delete them?
Thanks

I had the same problem. Microsoft decided to make this difficult for non-advanced users:

1. Open a command prompt
2. Type "net use" (no quotes) to see a list of networks
3. Type "net use /delete" (no quotes) and the exact name of the network from the list you just generated.

Mattyc, I'm really not following you around, just happened to notice your reply to both of these threads with the same problem, so I'll give my same answer in case yours doesn't work

I don't think the connections are mapped (net use) connections.

If not, try this:

Click Start
Type View network connections then click on View network connections at the top.
Right click the connection you want to get rid of and click Delete.

I'm not sure if I have the same issue as the original poster, but the network places I was looking to get rid of do not show in network connections. They show as computers in network places. Using net user ended the connection, but I read another post that indicated that these might be phantoms that are being saved on my router. I'll have to dig through the router's settings to be sure.
