FTP Issues; Directories Not Showing Up

I am having some really crazy FTP issues.

I am able to login successfully to my website via FTP using a multitude of methods (Filezilla, Dreamweaver, IE, WinSCP) however none of the files, directories, or anything else for that matter shows up. Yes, I have a website there and there are a ton of files in the directory.

I am able to access the FTP just fine using any or all of the above methods with my Windows XP machine. In order to change the website I've uploaded everything via the XP machine, as the Windows 7 machine won't let me view the directories.

What's even crazier is that I am able to use the above methods on my Windows 7 machine to view other websites that I have and the directories and such show up just fine.

I've tried taking everything down on the problematic site and then re-uploading everything and that doesn't seem to work.

Attached is a picture of what the multiple programs show for the FTP. http://snagglefoot.com is a website that's up and running fine using the XP machine to transfer files.

Any help is greatly appreciated (even if you tell me I'm an idiot and I should have....[something simple])

    Thanks!

Sounds like your W7 firewall is blocking FTP active mode. Did you setup an exception for your FTP application?

I did. That was my first thought too and I have all the programs allowed access through the firewall...

All of the programs are granted inbound and outbound access

check port 21. May have to open it in your router as well.

In active mode responses are sent to Port 20

The ftp clients have access to all ports, and ports 20 and 21 are open. I'm able to connect via FTP to one website in Win 7, but not another. Both of those sites are on the same server and Go Daddy isn't providing any help. As soon as I said "windows 7" to customer service they took on the offensive that they don't offer support for un-released operating systems.

Have you tried configuring FileZilla to use passive mode only?

After fiddling around and endlessly blaming Windows 7, I came upon the problem and the solution: it was permission settings on the server.

Thanks for the suggestions...and my apologies to Win 7, and mikinho & ilesal
