Windows 7 - Network Two Computers Wired

Network Two Computers Wired

I've done this before years ago on a different version of Windows. I can't seem to figure it out now on Windows 7.

Basically instead of using our Wireless network, I'd like to copy files via the LAN port. That is, set up an Ad-hoc (I think that's what it's called) network between two computers. Both computers run Windows 7 Home Premium.

Please help if you can. Thanks. I think I did this successfully in Windows XP a long time ago but it seems like Windows 7 is a bit more complicated, as if it tries to help too much.
