Ping does not go through
Ping does not go through to one of the Windows 7 machines on my home network but there is no problem accessing from other Windows 7 machine to this machine for file sharing.
Please help me determine what is causing the above.

FredeGail This is Ping operation among PCs on the same home network.
My new finding since my original post: Ping does not go through to this particular Windows 7 machine from ANY other Windows 7 machine on the home network. My statement in my original post being that there is no file sharing problem is still true. | | My System Specs | | OS W7 Ult x64

My apology for all those responded to this thread. Ping did not go through because I entered a wrong IP. A static IP used to be assigned to the machine in question but for some reason IP had been changed to dynamic one which I did not aware of.
