    DNS Server Not Responding

I have a brand new comp running Win 7 Professional. I am having the following problems:

    ~DNS server not responding
~name resolution for the name 'internet provider' timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded
~realtek pcie gbe family controller is disconnected from network
    ~DHCP 1002 address config event

Issue description: Computer can access internet. Issue is searching and page loading; sometimes altogether no load.

This is my work computer and I am desperate for a fix. Cable provider blames Comp Manufacturer and Comp Manufacturer blames Cable!!!!!!

    My computer at a glance:
    Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    Installed RAM: 8 GB
    motherboard model: GA-MA785GMT-USB3
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)

Hello Thomas, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if using Google DNS for now may help until your ISP fixes their DNS resolving issue.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Not issue with ISP. All other computers in house are working. Thanks though. Plus, they were out today trouble shooting.

    Thanks again!

OKAY..... tried Google DNS and am not getting DNS Server Not responding error message. Do you have any idea why Google works and not my ISP especially since all of my other computers run fine on my current ISP and always have????

    Thanks!

    That's great news.

Could be something specific to what you are trying to access on the internet. You might wait a day, and go back to your ISP DNS setting to see if it'll work again. This issue is usually only temporary.

I have never been without this problem on this computer. Wish I knew!!!! However 24-hours with Google DNS and she is still working fine! :) (fingers crossed) Hopefully my employer feels this is safe enough to work on? (medical transcription) If not I am probably going to be out of a job!

You should also consult with your employer to make sure this is ok with them. It's perfectly safe though, but some employers may have policies against it. Best to make sure than be out a job.
