R2 on VMware Fusion Problem Help!
Complete newbie to this so bare with me. I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 on VMware on my iMac. I installed R2 and updated it. I made a Domain and I added the computer that I want to add to my domain. I entered the name of the computer and its added to the "Computers" Folders under my domain. When I try to add the computer that I want to my domain its says that the domain controller cant be contacted.
Couple questions also:
Do I actually need a server to run server 08?
What's the difference between server 08 r2 and Windows Home Server?
Should I just stick to workgroup for file sharing?
Is this is a VMware issue? Help!
If my computers join my domain, does that mean that VMware has to be running all the time?
Im going to school for IT, and my server class is not till next semester, please bare with me.
