I assume you use a laptop or netbook

When you set up on hardwire RJ45 or WIFI the changes you make belong to that
computer. You CAN NOT set up one different from the other.

Why would you want to do anything like that, it makes no sense

You should only have one internet connection comimg from a modem, wether it be DSL, Cable, dial up or satilite. Then you split the connection with a router either wired or wireless to how ever many PC's and wireless devices you have. The Wi-Fi is a type of connection that a particular device use's, which has a range of up to 300 feet, hence using a wireless router. Unless the Wi-Fi connection you are referring to is a wireless adapter (card or usb dongle) that you pay for from your Mobile phone service or cable/dsl provider. Then in that case, yes you would have 2 interconnections.

As enigma stated, the internet connection is specific to one PC.

    I think I understand you.

Essentialy what you wish to do is utilize a connection paid for by someone else called WIFI for whatever purpose so that the USB internet connection that you have is not charged with utilization.

I have no idea where you are, however, in the USA OS system downloads are
not charged with time. Anything other than that will utilize the time alloted for
the specific plan that you have.

Keep in mind, you are using 1 computer and any changes made will remain on
that computer regardless of hardwire or WIFI.

One other thing is the download speed on WIFI is determined by the router of
the site of connection. I have seen no connection higher than 802.11G and
it is very SLOW. The latest for speed is 802.11N which is must faster.

If you play with fotos, music, games, etc you will spend a long time looking
    at the computer

    Adios

Yes thats right 1 dsl modm and 1 wifi connection.... sorry I thought i already said it was 2 connections, wifi is primarily for htc. but it does hook to comp as well and since it is unlimited transfer i use for downloding as well, right now I have to log off switch off dsl modem and plug usb wifi, then log back in. this is the fastest way i can find. yes wifi is slower but still gets me 4-5 meg/sec, so overnight downloads are still done in the morning without using transfer limit on dsl (they only let me transfer 60G per month) since most of my downloads are from utorrent I would like to tell that prog to just use wifi connection, leaving my dsl for more important things. (e.g. Battlefield Bad Company 2 mabey 3 soon

let me be clear, these are to independant internet connections.
