Sharing and restricting folders across a homegroup

Greetings,

I have established a home group for six computers using Windows 7 ultimate 64bit. The primary computer hosting the homegroup has a drobo storage array. I have successfully shared multiple virtual drives throughout the home group, but I need to restrict certain drivesor folders. When I try to share an select specific people I am unable to see any of the user accounts on other computers. Is it possible to even do this and if so is there some instructions out there. Thanks
