no internet after virus removal

I removed a virus from my friends e machine net book a week or so ago it was the system tool 2012 virus.it was removed fully and have checked this via AV and malwarebytes etc.but since then the internet always finds wifif points and connects but always says limited connection.problem is he lost his recovery disc so looking for another way to fix it

check the local area connection in the tray icon right click it then click local area connection then propertises propertises internet protocol version 4 /ip4 check if ip or dns is changed it should be obtain automatcally
also windows seven control panel network and internet to internet option go to connection tab and lan settings and untick proxy server if there

You could also try resetting your winsock. Sometimes this is necessary after malware removal.

start a command prompt > > restart your computer and check again.
