permissions on win 7

    permissions on win 7


    I am having trouble connecting to my server 2008 I can see the server under networks but when I try to access it says I have no permission see admin. I have everyone under sercuitys with full access.
    How can I get this to access the server.

    I have a couple of years of experience. This is something simple just can't pin point it. The other work station connect correctly.

    Where is the server physically located?

    where are the clients physically locatied?

    Also what I did was change the users name and computer name. Looks like it did not change the user network path I noticed the old name still under the users path. //administor/djd. The new user is Dave how would you change the did to Dave.

    Server and laptop are in the same room. . There are 5 clients 5 PC's one server with 5 users on server

    Are you running a domain/active directory?
