Wireless help

Hey, guys, I've been a regular guest for a while now, just checking out the forum. Anyway, I registered today because i couldn't find a solution to my problem. Essentially, my internet keeps disconnecting then reconnecting. This happens several times a day. By the way, this has nothing to do with router as my siblings' computers are working perfectly well regarding the network aspect. I don't know whether it's a hardware problem or what. Anyway, I would appreciate the help.

Regards,

I'm guessing this is a laptop. First thing to check is the proximity of your PC to the router. Try moving it a little closer and see if signal keeps dropping. Next thing to check, see if there are any updates from MS and any from your router. Next I would check the PC in question to see if any malware is present which could be causing the problem.

Well, he signal still drops when I'm closer to the router, there's nothing wrong with the router. Also, any free program you can link me so I can try regarding Malware? Bare in mind, this is a fresh new copy installed, but it was installed over Vista.

So if you logon to it take a screen shot and i should be able to point out where you need to go as all routers have different layouts
