Disabled wireless does not show up

If I disable my wireless it no longer shows up in Network and Sharing Center. On XP they would group them so I could re-enable when I want it again. How do you do that on Windows 7?

Might help if you filled in your system specs so we know what hardware you have.

Usually on laptops there is a key combo to enable wifi (dells use fn +2). If not a laptop right click network and sharing and enable it there.

More info please.
