If I disable my wireless it no longer shows up in Network and Sharing Center. On XP they would group them so I could re-enable when I want it again. How do you do that on Windows 7?

Might help if you filled in your system specs so we know what hardware you have.
Usually on laptops there is a key combo to enable wifi (dells use fn +2). If not a laptop right click network and sharing and enable it there.

Click on then network icon at the Taskbar, click "open network and charing center", at the left choose "change adapter settings", right click on "wireless network connections", then enable.
