    PC connection with server

Hi my office PC has been recently formatted. The IT expert will not be here for the next few weeks to connect my computer to the existing server.

My 32 bit PC is running on a Windows 7.

Can anyone help/send me a tutorial to do so?

    Many Thanks

    Vee

yes I am connected to the local internet network.

I don't know the type of the server,I can ask when the right person becomes available.

Right click on the network icon ( it`s down on your task bar on the right side, looks like a tv ) open network and sharing center, click on show full map and see if the server shows up. It would help if you knew the name of the server.
