I bought netgear WNR 2000 Wirelss N Router that is connected to verizon fios modem + router and wirelss is off in fios router. for some reason i only connect to <54 mbps on windows 7 and my macbook connect to 145 mbps all the time.

how do i make it 145 mbps or 300 mbps? and I set wnr2000 to 300 mbps.

What kind of wireless adapter do you have in your computer? Is it N capable? If not, 54Mbps is the best you're going to get.

According to Dell, that card will only do a max of 72Mbs: Dell Documentation

To the OP: you've got a 802.11b/g wifi card, so you won't be getting "N" speeds, just "G" speeds.

Now, update your system specs instead of just putting it in your post, so the next time you post a question people can just click on "My System Specs" and see what hardware/software you have.

*Edit* - I must need glasses. It's b/g/n, but limited to 72Mbps, per the specs linked by Ztruker.
