    annoying internet problem

    HI all,

I have this problem for long but i choose to ignore it as it was not that serious but lets get behind the root of this problem.anyways i use wireless modem to connect to internet. What happens is twice or three times a day i loose internet connection and the network icon shows yellow exclamation mark.Sometimes the loss is just for like 10 or maybe 20 seconds and internet gets re connected automatically. Many times i manually reboot my modem to use it again.

This has been a persistent problem for last 6 months or so.Any help will be appreciated.

Same thing here. I have an SMC router, and sometimes the network drops out. It goes back on when resetting the router. I think it is a hardware problem which lies with the modem/router.

    Hello,

Make sure that you have the latest driver for your Wi-Fi Adapter. This is a wireless issue correct? Pls. correct me if I'm wrong. Have you tried a wired connection?

Please provide an ipconfig /all output.
Click on Start => in run or search box type cmd, choose run as Admin and press enter. Open up a command prompt then Copy and Paste these ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt . Please attach the .txt file to be found in your Local Disk 'C' on your next post.

Thanks for the output, it looks good.

Is it possible for you to connect a different PC or laptop? Test it on both wired and wireless connection. If you are able to duplicate the issue then you might need to call your ISP, Modem might be faulty.
