Access Denied when opening files

I have a Windows 7 machine and 2 XP machines. From the Windows 7 machine, I can access and open any file in the shared folders on xp machine A, but on xp machine B I cannot. I can navagate throughout the shared folders on machine B, but when I try to open them is says that access is denied. From machine B I can open any shared file on the Windows 7 machine. I have checked and all of the network settings are the same on both xp machines. Can anyone help?
