joining windows 7 to a samba domain

Hi guys,

At work, I have a dell optiplex 790 with Windows 7 SP1 Professional. We use a samba domain to login but the problem is that I simply cannot join the Windows 7 machine to the domain.

I followed this guide from the samba wiki but I'm getting "The specified computer account could not be found". I also tried changing the NETLOGON settings in the registry but that didn't help either.

All the other XP machines are working fine with the domain and I can also browse the shares from the 7 box but I simply cannot join this machine. Are there some settings I'm missing ?
