Specs - Compaq presario cq62 - 3gb ram - 250gb HD, 2.2ghz intel celeron processor
I have a
Compaq laptop that ONLY connects wireless-ly when my Dell wired desktop is turned ON. It connects fine when on road to
public connections. When at home it defaults to public unless the desktop if turned ON. When desktop is on, my laptop network settings show it set to
private. I want it to
stay private when at home but cannot seem to get this to happen. It (the laptop) is still under warranty and is only 3 months old - I have been on line and on phone with HP/compaq to no avail. I have updated
drivers, updated bios - nothing helps. They recommended taking it back to factory settings which I did 2 nites ago but still have problem in spite of all that effort.
I should get some action from HP/compaq if this is not resolved after all of this effort and still with no cure - Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
