0x80070035 Win7 PC connects, then doesn't
I have five PCs, networked through a 2Wire Wi-Fi router. All but one are running Windows 7. The exception is running Vista.
My newest, a Toshiba A665 i7 laptop with 4Gb of RAM. It networked fine with all the other computers for 4-5 months. Then one evening, while I was using the Toshiba laptop - not making any changes to it at the time - it stopped being able to find the other computers. None of them can find it. I get the common error message 0x80070035.
I've tried booting the Toshiba and another computer in safe mode - no luck. Network discovery is turned on on all computers. When I try hitting another computer from the Toshiba from the command line using the IP address, I get a "timed out" error message. Same thing when I try to reach the Toshiba from the other computer the same way.
I've googled and binged the error code for weeks and no suggested solutions have made any difference. I've tried close to a dozen suggestions.
The Toshiba finds the 2Wire router and hits the Internet just fine.
Any Ideas? I surely would appreciate some helpful advice! Thank you.
