    What is the name of the w7 pc. If the name is too long, you can have trouble being seen by win 2000. Can the xp machines see the win7, and vice versa?

    I can see everything on Win 7 from the XP machine, and I can only see the printer on the XP machine from Win 7.

    Firewall!! win 7 firewall only filters in one direction. foor event viewer its a piec of cake. Just type event viewer into search and look at both the system tab and the application tab. If you spot something use the snipping tool (snipping tool in search) to snip and upload a pic.
