I don't think I can help you, mine was a different problem (but with the same result). (It involved my security trial software becoming unwanted after it expired). I'm dealing with more Toshiba problems myself right now, still in the form of internet connections. They seem to have a problem in general...sorry I can't help you. Although, as a pre-emptive measure, I recommend that you uninstall any security software trial versions that were pre-loaded onto your laptop and install your own.
