I'm going out on a limb here in what I want to do. I'm not even sure it can be done.
Is there anyway for me to get a dial tone out of my laptop? I get my wifi from a Verizon UML290 LTE modem. I need it to run my credit card machine in my vehicle.

I have taken this up to Mt. Everest and back down, Unit Got Dirty Many Times. Submerged It Into Snow And Let It Clean Itself. You Can't Put A Price On That Stuff To Me. When I Need My Laptop To Work, It Has To Work.
Does you cc machine use Ethernet? If so you might be able to use Internet Sharing on your laptop and connect the cc machine to the Ethernet port. This is just a guess after seeing this here and here
