Ping constantly timing out / interference

We recently installed a new router in our house. Initially everyone's internet was terrible because the phone was interfering with the wireless signal, so my dad put an ADSL filter on it. This fixed the problem; everyone's internet is now fine.
My computer followed suit with everyone else's until yesterday afternoon when it started having the exact same problem as before. The ping is relatively low all the time but constantly times out, like something is interfering with it. (now as I am typing this it seems to be becoming less and less constantly low). It seems to drop out less if I am not actively using the internet such as attempting to load pages or trying to do a virus update.
I have tried moving USB ports & reinstalling the drivers, turning the router on and off and rebooting my PC but nothing has worked. I am only just managing to load this web page.
This is frustrating as shit. I've had endless problems with my stupid ****ing internet. Please help me.

Hello,

List and Name all Anti-Virus, Security or Firewall Software installed from the problematic computer.

Install and run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector.
Click on the 'Show Networks' to display all wireless networks on the xirrus icon on your desktop if you have one running in a corner. Tap the Printscreen key on your keyboard, open up Paint then choose Edit from the Menu and select Paste, then save it. Upload and attached it here.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 is the only virus software I have installed and it works brilliantly. I've been using it since the beginning of this year, and used 2010 last year, etc.

Yeah, it is most likely your AV program that interferes. Shut it off during the ping. I had that happen with Norton too.

Made no difference. Screenshot attached of my ping with Kaspersky disabled. It's obvious it's not going to though, as I've had Kaspersky for over 2 years and the source of the problems I've had have not been because of my AV.

I'm looking at your adapter that is wireless G and your router that is a N Router and you are running it seems on 2 different channels you need to find out what channel your router is running on and then set your computer to the same channel..Your problem should go away.

Thanks for the info provided. The signal doesn't look good at all.

2 Things that you may try:

Update your router's firmware to the latest. You may download the firmware from the manufacturer's site.

Change the wireless channel to 1 or 6, see which one you can get a great signal.

An update will be nice.

You will need to logon to your router's configuration page thru a browser. You'll also need the logon to your router.
