Network transfer used to be fast now slow

I used to be able to transfer files between my home built NAS (W7U64) with around MB/s now its less than KB/s. Both computers will quickly access the internet and download quickly from the internet. My netbook will do 3MB/s over wifi.
    Setup
    Desktop: W7U64, 4gb ram, intel 2 core 3ghz, 100mb/s network adapter
    100 foot cat6
    Dlink dir-825
    3 foot cat 5
    NAS: W7U64, 4gb ram, intel 2 core 2.8ghz, 100mb/s network adapter

Actually the connection was even more complex before with faster speeds.
I've tried everything. Uninstal avg, set to 100mb/s full dubplex, disabled firewalls, disabled network compression.
The only thing that has changed was my brother installed something with tons of bloatware that was somewhat stubborn to remove on the desktop.

    RE-install Ethernet driver?

Run IPCONFIG /ALL and upload a snapshot of the output.

Ok. I also learned that Netbook to desktop works well and netbook to nas as well. Nas to netbook works fine too. Nas to desktop does just as bad as desktop to nas.

then we should look at the desktop>>> NAS connection. Have you updated the drivers? tired a different cable (if ethernet). Tried turning off the malware and firewall (just to test)?

Is both the lappy and destopk on the same router/subnet/protocol?
