| W7 Prof x64 129 posts | New computer will not access European WiFi networks I purchased a new HP Windows 7 laptop for my wife to take to France and England. The computer works perfectly here in the US! I have Microsoft Security Essentials running on it. All software and drivers are up to date. Over there when she trys to browse the Internet using the hotels' WiFi she gets a message about certificates being expired. I assume this is the website's certificate. But she says no websites can be accessed.  So I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas as to what could be the problem/issue? Thanks in advance. |

| Windows 7 x64 6,737 posts Houston | This can actually be caused by a million things. One of which is the date and time on the computer being wrong. She could try setting the timezone/region on the machine to match her current location if she hasn't already. |
