How to Workgroup Vista computer that has no user account password?

In setting up a multi-platform workgroup I discovered that the default for Vista Home Premium is to inhibit file/print sharing if the Vista user account has no password. (To correct this error make sure the user account on the Vista machines have passwords).

For irrelevant reasons, I would like to keep the user account with "no password" and would still like the ability for this computer to be workgrouped.

Is there a way to do this without giving a password?
