Windows server share can't be maped in Windows 7.

    Hi,
I have a windows server share that i want to map it in my win 7 box, but i keep get an 86 system error (i am doing that through the CMD) or an error about the password that is incorrect.
I am sure that the username and password are correct since i have a dozen win XP machines that have that share maped in them with the same username and password.

Do you have any spcific clue about that problem?
I have tried to diable the firewall, change the network profile to Home, switch on the file discovery and so on but without success.

BTW the windows server is probably 2003.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Pls. try this recommendation:
Please change “Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”.
If your Windows 7 system is Windows 7 Home Premium, you may need to configure it via Registry.
    1. Launch regedit from Start Search box.
    2. Find the following branch.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
    3. Create a DWORD key under Lsa and set:
    Name: LmCompatibilityLevel
    Value: 1
    4. Restart.

Sorry, I forgot the rest of the stuff. This is for the version of your Windows.
    gpedit.msc
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level, then change it to Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated
