Hey Guys,
Kinda new to the forums so bare with me.
In a nutshell, I'm having issues with speed when applications such as Bittorrent, dbpoweramp, Chrome, etc access network shares.
I can transfer to my NAS at about around 800-900 mbps (gigabit network) in Windows Explorer. However, when I use that share (reading or writing) in an application such as bit torrent. My network meter only shows a peak of 10-20 mbps. The same goes for dbpoweramp converting a file, the CPU usage is almost nothing and the speed is the same 10-20 mbps. This forces me to have to only have files I can use by transfering. Interestingly enough, I can use Acronis True Image to backup my files to the NAS and I get gigabit speeds. Another interesting thing to note is that other computers on the network do not have this issue in applications at all.
Any ideas how to unlimit these applications? I'd like to torrent things to my NAS and access big files without having to move them...
Computer with the issue:
Intel Core i7 2600k (Overclocked to 4.4GHZ)
8 GB of RAM at 1333
Intel 40GB SSD (OS)
--Bunch of other drives
ASRock Pro3 P67
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Thanks
