Sharing internet between wireless laptop and desktop - Both Windows 7

I am trying to share the internet connection through my laptop by wiring it to my desktop which has no wireless card. I went into the connection properties and told it to allow internet sharing to other devices. My desktop is showing the connection between the laptop and desktop, but it says it has no internet access. Any troubleshooting help?

    Welcome to sevenforums crg13729!

How is the laptop connecting to the Internet?

Wireless? If so, via what method? Cable Internet, DSL, Satellite, Neighbor???

    Perhaps some info here: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ng-enable.html

Should be able to get it to work with a crossover cable which can be purchased easliy at any good PC shop... or they can make one for you!... although this is usually done with a PC with 2 wired connections... 1st one for Internet, the other for the 2nd PC to share Internet with 1st catd!
