    My internet is so slow

I think I have written about this a while ago, but cannot find it. My internet is so slow. I have Windows 7. That little round circle keeps going around and around. I ran malwarebytes and had over 700 problems and fixed them and now it seems slower. I went to msconfig and only checked 2 startup items. I ran cCleaner and the registry. I looked at other people's post and tried what you told them, but it didn't seem to pertain to my problem and didn't help anyway. I have plenty of ram. Don't know where to find it, so can't tell you how much. The cable company checked my modem and said it was fine. I went to system restore to when it was faster and that didn't work.
Well, I think I covered it all, hopefully you can give me more ideas. I cannot do a clean install of windows because I tried that years ago and totally messed it up and had to have a tech come out and it didn't last anyway.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hello Patti:

Just a word of advice for the future, never delete files even temporary internet files , or the clean the registry if you even suspect you have malware viruses of any kind, it can actually make it more difficult to clean the infections fragments can become more easily hidden this way!!!

    Patti,
    Help us to help you.

Read each and every word of the following. You will find Speccy easy to use.

    Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
    (left-hand column)

To gather info, use SIW or Speccy or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
    “system manufacturer” block, for example,
    Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.
