connecting pst to ethernet on pc

Well... my biggest problem isn't that I don't know how to do it. The problem is that, I've only seen it don on a ps2 SLIM, I always enjoyed the original ps2 so I never upgraded. Any suggestions on how to connect Ethernet on the ORIGINAL ps2?

it's been so long since I had a PS2. there may have been a hard drive option for it as well.
I remembered the ethernet adapter since my friend had one to play Socom online.
