    Ethernet controller

I have a Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller and all of a sudden in the past week when I turn on my desktop I'm not connected to the internet, I'm using a Home network and no others. I diable the adapter and enable it and I'm connected again. Strange any ideas?

Does it connect if you leave it for awhile ? I know mine doesn't connect as soon as the computer is started but thats good because it means the security programs get loaded before the computer goes out in the wild and gets into trouble.

Can't really offer much advice about it, have you looked at it in Device Manager to make sure everything is OK there ?

I checked it out in device manager and all is well, I even updated the driver so I am ruling out the adapter. A UNKNOWN NETWORK shows up, I didn't notice that before. I suspect System Mechanic might have something to do with this. I just don't know why though.

I have no experience with System Mechanic so can't comment on that. Where does the Unknown Network appear ? How do you connect to the Internet, do you have a router and is it secure ?

It was the Iola System mechanic, it was configured wrong. I uninstalled it and re-installed it, updated it, and set it up to work like I want it to.
