PC unable to see wireless network

Prior to Saturday morning, my computer was able to detect the router and connect to the internet. However, as of yesterday, my computer is no longer able to see any wireless networks.
My dad did change the frequency of the router yesterday, but all the other PC's in the house are able to connect again - except for mine. I've tried rebooting the livebox, rebooting my PC, pressing the wi-fi button, changing my adapter's usb slot and also reinstalling my adapter's drivers. None of these have made a difference.
    Please help!

What where the settings of the router before the change? Is this a dual band router - 2.5 ghtz 5.0 ghtz. If switched to the 5.0 and your adapter is not rated to accept the new 5.0 speed, then it wouldn't recognize it.

Two things left here to try. 1 is to change the channel back to 6. Just to verify that the adapter is still working properly. The second thing to try is, I know you said you re-installed driver, but have you checked with the adapters website for the latest more current driver version. Also, have you tried to run the network troubleshooting by right clicking network icon in notification area. The last possibility is that the adapter has gone bad some how. To verify this, try switching your adapter with one of the exact models that's on one of the other 2 pc's and see if that works.
