    Internet Connection Sharing

Hey everyone, guess who has another problem! You know you love me

Anyways lol, I am having a problem sharing my internet to other systems (such as the Xbox 360 or this Desktop PC I have)

Usually I could just open up the 'Local Area Connection' properties and just check 'Allow Sharing internet Connection' but it doesn't seem to work now.

Basically this is how my internet is set up too

Wireles router > My Laptops Wifi > Laptops Ethernet > Xbox 360/Desktop's Ethernet

Use to work but now it doesn't. Any suggestions?

Oh also; my laptop is Windows 7 RC Build 7100 x64, and the desktop is Windows XP SP0 x32. If that helps.

can you give us some more details, how does it not work? you don't get the option to allow ICS? or does it report some error message back? can you check if the ICS service is up and running?

you also said it was working before, but not working now correct? when was the last time it worked? and Have you changed anything in your laptop or your network / x-box that could be the reason for it not to work?

ICS service is up and running.

I can enable it to share the internet, but it just doesn't share. It was working before I did a clean install but yeah don't know whats changed, All the configure settings are the same as I have them usually set as.

Xbox hasn't been changed aside from some cleaning of the saved games, and it doesn't work on the desktop either.

can you verify you have the proper settings for ICS? goto your wirless adaptor properties, under the sharing tab check that you have selected the proper connection for ICS, like in this screen shot:

also just to be safe, try going into the ICS Settings, and make sure all services are enabled... like HTTP FTP etc...

Doesn't give me that option under Wireless, only Local Area (ethernet).

Is that on the laptop, or desktop (XP)?
