How to connect 2 computers using different versions of windows 7?

    So here's the map:
    https://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1317194950

PC1 is using windows 7 basic 86x and is connected directly to the router.
PC2 is using windows 7 ultimate 64x and is connected wirelessly.

How can I connect between them wirelessly?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried RDPing from one machine to another.

If both are connected to he same wi fi, there should not be any issues. Do you have a specific need?

I've tried to send ping from one computer to the other and the request timed out.
I want it for sharing, and so I can use remote access.
    Any suggestions?

Have you turn on your Network Discovery on both machines?

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings

Open up a command prompt, and type "ipconfig /all" on each PC.
    Then paste the results here.

PC1 is connected to your Router/modem directly. I'm surprised that you are picking up Gateway/ DHCP and DNS server IPs to be the same.

With you IPv4 settings in Properties, are all settings set to to auto detect?

For PC2, you are using the "Edimax 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter", i'm thinking this is partly the reason. How does this device talk to the wireless wifi which you would have created from the router?
