Att Router bogs down only while on destop(wired) computer

This is my second att router ive been through and im starting to think its not the router. Whenever my desktop runs for about 5-10min it bogs down my router for everyone connected. The ping to my router goes up to around 500-1000 ms and spiking randomly. The ping to google.com stays above 2500 ms. If my desktop is off, all is fine. I've scanned with malwarebytes in and out of safe mode with no infections. Used Ccleaner to clean up browser junk and to fix registry problems. Tdsskiller also found nothing. The att router is a 2wire. I was useing a different internet provider with never an issue but since i switched to att this problem has been happening. Me and my friends have run out of ideas and att just wants to ship yet another router to me when i dont think that thats the problem, but im not sure. Any ideas?

What OS are the other machines?

Are you running "homegroup" for networking?

My laptop is running Windows 7 64-bit and the other one on wireless is Windows 7 32-bit.

    Homegroup is disabled.

*edit: My desktop is useing Professional and the 2 wireless computers are useing home premium if that makes a difference.
