    Full access on home network?

I have two win 7 computers on a home network and I would like both machines to have full access to the hard drives on either machine, not just share folders. How is this done?

    Get into Explorer.

Right-click on the hard drive letter itself, move the mouse over the "share with..." item, and then click on the "Advanced Sharing" item:

Then push the "Advanced Sharing" button on the Sharing tab of the Properties window:

Then push the "Permissions" button on the Advanced Sharing window:

I set my own hard drives on both of my home network machines to show just "Everyone", with "Full Control":

So I remove any assorted users who might already be shown there, and then when they're all gone I push the ADD button and add an item for "Everyone". Then I check the "Full Control" box and the OK button, and OK my way back up the dialogs.

Repeat for each of your hard drive letters on both machines.

If you have different userid/passwords for your home machines you will probably have to enter a password to access the other machine the first time you access a drive on that machine, but if you check the "retain password" (or whatever that box is) you will never have to do it again. In my case, I have the same userid and password on both of my home desktop machines, so I never have to enter a password at all... even the first time.
